84,000 coins is alot of coins in just one month. As gold has been on the rise, the public has been buying up all the gold bullion coins from the mint. I recently visited the us mint website and saw that they had limited production and had actually stopped minting the american gold eagle. The reason they had stopped minting was so that they could get ready for the new 2010 minting of the american eagle gold coin.  I wonder how many orders the mint will have to fufill now!
